Orchestra and Band students were at UMSL for a full day participating in the E. Desmond Lee High School Honors groups along with students from other Des Lee Collaboration schools. Students were nominated by Mr. Lupka and Ms. Birkedal from as excelling instrumentalists. Of the students nominated, 11 were selected to participate. They spent time learning the music on their own as well as time in class. The day culminated in an evening performance in the Touhill Performing Arts Center on UMSL’s campus. It was a wonderful day of fun and learning!
