The Affton School District Board of Education will vote on the 2026 tax rate on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026, at 7 p.m. during the annual scheduled tax rate hearing. This year’s proposed rate is $4.5489 per $100 assessed valuation, a $0.0399 decrease from the 2025 rate, which was $4.5491, and maintaining a voluntary tax rollback of 35-cents first introduced in 2017.
The tax rate hearing will begin at 7 p.m. and will be followed immediately by the Board of Education's School Improvement Workshop in the Library at Gotsch Intermediate School (8348 S Laclede Station Road, 63123). Varsity Baseball at Parkway Central is still on for today.
Boys Volleyball Tryouts will be held at Center of St. Louis today due to weather conditions. Transportation will take them and return them to the high school around 5pm.
Spring Sports Tryouts are Monday March 2nd. Students must have all documents completed prior to being allowed to participate. Golf, Track, Baseball, Girls Soccer, Boys Volleyball

Affton Varsity Girls Basketball also had a 38-32 win over Hancock yesterday and will play in the Consolation Championship against Windsor tonight at 5pm at Oakville High School.
AHS Bowling Club competing at Du Bowl this morning. AHS newest club is an overwhelming success.
Great start to the winter season with two 1st place finishes at the Esmond Ford Girls Tourney. Congrats Abby and Delaney. Kudos to the coaches, trainers, refs, workers and athletes
Affton Speech and Debate had 9 of their 10 competitors bring home awards this weekend:

Although we didn't bring home any medals, it was a great experience and a great showing for the Affton Cross Country Program!!!
